Questions

In his nursing home,
Father kept on asking
The same questions:

How is your son growing up?
Is everything ok with your job?
Is the roof of your house leaking?

I would answer as usual:

Your grandson is a lawyer now and has finished growing;
I am retired and collect a pension just like you;
The roof is fine and should be ok for another twenty years.

Half an hour later
Father asks the same questions
And I repeat my answers.

Then words left him,
First nouns, followed by
Verbs and adjectives.
He still tried to ask
The same questions
With what was left to him:
Personal pronouns.
