We,
The many,
The deserving,

But ignored,
Unappreciated,
Lacking a topic,
Subject to blocks,
Fearful of rejection,
Shy of a blank page,
Bereaved seeking solace,
Born in wrong time and place,
Enthusiasts of social progress,
Out of tune with the language,
Coming to terms with our divorce,
Never more than honorably mentioned,
Disgusted with the crap that's published,
Saddled with families needing a breadwinner,

Do hereby
Demand that Congress
Have our poems published
As a matter of congressional earmarks.
